I got a Cuisinart ice cream maker for Christmas and just finally used it. The recipe I used came from a starter kit I bought from William Sonoma. It tasted really good and a good first try at using my ice cream maker. Recipe below! Ingredients: Strawberry Starter Kit packet …
Sometimes coming up with something that I want to make for this blog is really based on what I already have in the house. As I was racking my brain of what I could make and when I would have time to make it, I found Homemade Chicken Tenders. It was close to lunch time and Dad was coming over to fix my alarms. I knew I had all the ingredients so why not make these for lunch! Dad loves fried chicken, so this was the perfect time to give it a whirl! Warning: your house will smell like fried oil when this over. Recipe below!
1 Tbs Water
2 Cups Flour
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Cups Vegetable or Canola oil
Chicken Tenderloins or Chicken Breasts cut into strips
1. Fill a pot (I used a tall pot so there wouldn’t be so much oil splattering) with the oil. Heat the oil to 350 degrees, I put it between medium and hot and seemed to work out just fine. If you want to check if the oil is ready, drop some flour in and if it sizzles, you are good to go!
2, Mix the 2 eggs and water in a bowl.
3. Mix flour, salt, and pepper together on a plate.
4. Take a piece of chicken and dip it into the eggs, then coat in the flour, dip it in the eggs again, and then back to the flour.
5. Fry it up! 3 minutes on each side should do it.
They are super easy to make and you don’t need a lot of ingredients. They don’t take long to make, but your fingers get pretty messy while dipping. I baked up some fries to go with it (I know I could have just fried them) and we had a great lunch. I dipped my strips in honey mustard and it was so good!
