Cinnamon Sugar Cronuts

On Saturday, I had been thinking about donuts all day, so I just made my own. Mom had a recipe for cronuts and the ingredients already so we gave it a whirl. It is so easy and it requires minimal ingredients. It reminded me of my days at Greenfield Village …

Cronuts

Today there will not be a recipe, but more of a public service announcement. The Cronut is probably the most amazing combination ever made in food history. It is a Croissant Donut that has a cinnamon sugar coating. I finally got to try this amazingness at Epcot in Disney World yesterday.

For all my Michiganders out there, this tastes just like an apple orchard donut! This made me very happy since now I can have a taste of home in Florida. You can get this donut 2 ways, plain or topped with ice cream. We got it both ways, and since I can’t have ice cream, I let Dad tackle that one. It is hard to eat with a fork or spoon though. Can’t really cut into the Cronut very easily. I would suggest just eating the ice cream first and then picking up the Cronut and eat it with your hands.

Both ways are super delicious and there were a lot of people ordering them when we were in line. This is a MUST try. It is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or if you just want a snack. This doesn’t weigh you down like a normal donut does. So go to Disney World now, or for those New Yorkers, go to the bakery that sells them. These need to be eaten by all!!

Enjoy!
