Home Chef – Meal Delivery Kit

This week I tried Home Chef. It is one of those meal delivery kits like Blue Apron and Hello Fresh. I really enjoyed this one and I liked that I could pick 2 meals for the week instead of 3. I honestly can’t commit to cooking more than 2 days a week. The only bad thing is that it doesn’t get delivered until Wednesday. By Wednesday I am over cooking at home!

The meals I picked were really easy to make and didn’t take much time to prepare which is key on a weeknight. I picked one that I knew I would love and one that I would maybe not just to try it. Below are my results.

First up, Ritz Cracker-Crusted Cod. The Cod was so good. I am not sure if I am fancy enough for the truffle oil cream, but it was ok. I didn’t make the succotash because I can’t have corn. Since I was just going to have the green beans part I figured I needed some more food, so I made some brown rice to go with it. Very good meal and it still tasted delicious when I had it for lunch the next day.

Next up, was the Teriyaki Chicken! I was super excited for this meal and it didn’t disappoint! The rice, the chicken, the green beans, the teriyaki sauce, all so good! It was very filling. It was also the most filling lunch I have had in a long time at work.

One of the things I like about Home Chef is that they have extras you can get. The other ones may have it, but I don’t remember honestly.

I picked a smoothie as an extra add on. It was also delicious!

I drank it out of a fancy cup too and that made it more delicious!

I did the 2 meals for 2 people and a smoothie for 2 people and it came out around $49. I had a $30 off coupon code so I only spent $19 on 4 meals and 2 smoothies. I don’t think you can beat that price. Below is a referral link if you would like to try it out. They have a lot to choose from!
